Information You Share With Us
Search Terms
When you type a name, location, or other detail into one of the search tools on this site, that text is sent straight to the outside provider that powers the tool. We do not keep a copy of those search terms, and we do not log them on our own servers. The provider that runs the search receives and processes what you enter under its own privacy rules.
Messages and Contact Form Entries
If you email us or fill out a contact form, we hold onto your message so we can write back. We keep that correspondence inside our own operation and do not hand it to anyone else, unless a law or a valid legal order requires us to.
Information Collected on Its Own
Like most websites, ours records certain technical details automatically every time a page loads. These items include:
- The IP address your device is connecting from
- The web browser you use and which version it is
- The kind of device you are on and its operating system
- Which pages you open and how long you spend on each one
- The site that sent you our way, if you arrived through a link
- The dates and times of your visits
Cookies
We rely on cookies to understand how people move through the site. You can turn cookies off or limit them through your browser settings whenever you like. Keep in mind that if you block them, certain parts of the site may not work the same way.
How This Information Is Used
- To keep the site online and loading quickly
- To pass your search requests to the correct partner service
- To figure out which pages visitors find most helpful
- To spot and repair technical problems
- To display advertising that may line up with your interests
Links That Lead Off Our Site
This site points you toward jail rosters, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, and third-party search tools. Once you click through to one of those destinations, its own privacy policy takes over and ours no longer applies. We suggest reading the policy of any outside site before you share details there.
Some of our advertising partners may follow your activity across different websites in order to show you targeted ads. That tracking happens on their systems, not on ours.
Who May Receive Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. That said, some of your data may reach the following parties:
- Search partners that handle the queries you submit
- Analytics services that measure site traffic
- Advertising networks that serve the ads you see
- Law enforcement or government bodies, when a valid legal order requires it
Steps We Take to Keep Data Safe
We use reasonable security measures to guard the information we handle and do our best to keep it protected. Even so, no system connected to the internet can be made perfectly secure. For that reason we cannot promise that your data will never be exposed, and you share it understanding that risk.
Visitors Younger Than 18
This site is meant for adults, and we do not knowingly gather information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has sent us personal details, please contact us and we will delete that information.
Your Rights Over Your Data
Depending on the protections available to you, including those recognized under Florida law such as the state public-records framework in Florida Statutes Chapter 119, you may be able to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Have inaccurate details corrected
- Request that your information be deleted
- Opt out of certain uses of your data
Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy from time to time. When we do, the updated version will appear on this page along with a new effective date, so it is worth checking back now and then.
