Why We Built This Site
Florida keeps most jail and inmate information open to the public, which is good news for anyone trying to locate a loved one. The trouble is that the records are scattered. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office runs the local jail roster, and it lists people who are awaiting trial or serving short county sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections keeps a separate locator for people sent to state prison. Federal detainees and immigration holds turn up in their own national systems. We built this site because that maze trips people up at the worst possible moment. Here you will find the rosters, locators, contact numbers, visitation details, and request steps for Seminole County collected in one spot.
What You Will Find Here
The pages on this site are organized around the questions people actually ask when someone they know is booked. Here is what we cover.
- Help with looking up an inmate, including jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
- A dedicated page for the detention facility in Seminole County, with its address, phone number, and visitation rules.
- Step-by-step directions for using the county jail roster and the statewide inmate locator, so you know which one fits your situation.
- Guidance on how to request a booking record or a mugshot, plus what kind of response time you can reasonably expect.
What We Cannot Do
We want to be upfront about our limits. This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Florida sheriff's office, jail, corrections department, or government agency of any kind. We are not the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, the John E. Polk Correctional Facility, the Florida Department of Corrections, or any federal authority. Because of that, several things are simply outside what we can do.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone who is in custody.
- We cannot post bond, schedule a visit, or send money on your behalf.
- We cannot give legal advice of any kind.
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address on this site is current.
Only the sheriff's office or the corrections department can confirm someone's current custody status, charges, or release. We can point you to the right roster and explain how it works, but the official answer always comes from the agency that holds the record.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes that are powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing, and we do not control it. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, the site may earn a referral fee. That fee is what keeps this site free to use. We do not control the pricing those partners charge or the results their tools return, so always read their terms before you pay for anything.
